The Audubon Institute

One local institution is celebrating several special milestones - all in 2005.

"Audubon Nature Institute is really about giving people a sense of wonder," says President and CEO Ron Forman of the expanse of parks and museums. "It's a privilege to provide that to the community."

For 120 years, the world-renowned Audubon Zoo, has given families access to the most exotic of animals.

While the Louisiana Nature Center has brought people from the wetlands to the moon for 25 years, Audubon's Aquarium of the Americas celebrates 15 years of wonder.

And a decade of visitors have been amazed by the five and a half story tall screens of the Entergy IMAX theatre.

Now, final preparations are underway to open a new, one of a kind, Audubon Insectarium.

"It really will be an incredible year at all of the museums," says Forman.
